My Journey – Skinny Grilled Chicken Salad Recipe

I’ve started eating healthy, boosting my metabolism, and exercising.

This is my second post about how to lose weight. I’ve done a lot of research.


Certain foods really do boost the metabolism. So you can lose weight faster. And eat healthy. The first post is the Skinny Blueberry Smoothie, at the top of this page, under My Journey.


Since I lost 50 lbs. a few years ago, on my own. I’ve decided I can do it again. I want to lose 30-40 now. I cook my own meals and just do floor exercises 25-30 minutes a day. I wait until my show comes on in the afternoon and I watch it while I do them. It helps a lot.

I’ve done some research on what to eat that boosts metabolism. I found a lot on the Dr. Oz site. Right now he’s doing a lot about this, so it really helps.

Eating nuts, extra protein, no sugar, wheat or dairy and no artificial sweeteners is what he says. I just cut out sugar and changed Root Beer to Iced Tea. In my tea I do use a little Truvia. I just can’t drink it plain. I also eat a banana a day, a protein bar (10g) and low-fat meals. I also add Flaxseed Oil to things I cook and the smoothie.

For dinner I’ll be eating chicken, fish or turkey, Black beans, salad, Broccoli and other vegetables. I also use unsweetened Almond Milk, and Almond Butter. It’s just a lot better for us and boosts metabolism.

I had this Grilled Chicken salad for dinner last night. I used fat-free dressing and it really was good.

Low Fat Grilled Chicken Salad with boosting metabolism ingredients.
  • 1 Chicken Breast
  • Lettuce (I used the 50/50 package) Whatever you like
  • 2 Pieces of Broccoli Cut Up
  • 1 Stalk Celery Cut Up
  • Onion
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Tomato
  • Fat free Dressing
  • Fresh Rosemary
  • Flaxseed Oil
  • Tumeric Spice
  • Ginger Spice
  1. Bake the chicken on 400 with Flaxseed Oil on it
  2. Add Rosemary,
  3. Tumeric Spice, and
  4. Ginger
  5. I baked it for about 35 minutes.
  6. Make Salad with all other ingredients
  7. ENJOY!

I made this recipe up on my own. I just used ingredients that are good for getting this fat off my body! lol I didn’t even eat all the chicken.  I feel full and bloated all the time so I can’t eat much.  I’ve actually been eating more this week.
