Ginger is one thing to eat to lose weight. It offers anti-inflammatory, anti-ulcer, antioxidant activities and can even be used as an analgesic. Ginger is also used in many popular cleansing programs, as it’s believed to cleanse the body by stimulating digestion, circulation and sweating.

Organic Eggs are full of protein, 6 grams each. They contain all of the essential amino acids that the body requires. They only have 70 calories, each. They have been shown to protect against blood clots, heart attack and stroke. When we eat these for breakfast we can experience more fat burning all day.

Flaxseeds are another of the most healthy foods. They contain omega-3 fatty acids and fiber to help us lose weight. Omega 3s help to detoxify and boost metabolism in our bodies. They can be added to any food or smoothies.

Avocados were shown to reduce deep abdominal fat in one study. They’re high in monounsaturated fats, which is a good thing. They’re also high in fiber. They’re also known to lower cholesterol and keep us from being hungry. Plus they spot-reduce belly fat!

Blueberries are an excellent source of antioxidants, vitamin C, K and magnesium that helps detoxify the body and discourage fat storage. And the fiber and copper increases fat burning and boosts our immune system.

Chia Seeds help suppress our appetites. They are loaded with protein, omega-3s and fiber. They get our metabolism going and turn on glucagon, one of the body’s fat-burning hormones. Soak them for 15 minutes so that they will swell to up to 10 times their original size. The larger the seeds, the quicker your hormones will let you know your full.

Salmon improves insulin, which in turn, shrinks the waistline. It’s rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids. It also activates the thyroid hormone for a faster metabolism.

Apple cider vinegar is one of the most potent all-purpose tonics around. It may very well help lower blood sugar levels which aids in fat burning. It also can ease digestive conditions, prevent the flu, reduce inflammation, regulate pH balance, alleviate allergy symptoms, heartburn and be an important ingredient in detoxification.

Plain Greek Yogurt is packed with protein. And it doesn’t come with the added chemicals and sugars of your typical, flavored, processed yogurt. Protein helps keep you satisfied, so we don’t have the urge to snack on something unhealthy, allowing us to lose fat while still feeling energetic. We can use it as a substitute for sour cream and mayonnaise, or eat it with fresh fruit, providing a naturally sweet flavor.

Oysters battle fat, they’re low in calories, with just 50 calories for six. They’re the richest dietary source of zinc which helps to decrease our appetite and PMS-induced cravings.

Coconut oil is the world’s most weight loss friendly fat. It contains a unique combination of fatty acids with powerful effects on metabolism. Studies have shown that just by adding coconut oil to your diet, you can lose fat, especially the fat in the abdominal cavity. It’s rich in medium chained triglycerides which the body prefers for energy use, leaving less opportunity for it to be stored as fat.

Kale, the superfood, is one of the most nutrient dense greens on the planet. It suppresses the appetite, and helps eliminate toxins in the body. Fewer toxins means fewer cravings for things like sugar-filled treats in addition to an increased metabolism.

Garlic offers a wide range of benefits for the body. One of the most important being the ability to detoxify. A body filled with toxins cannot efficiently make use of fat for energy. It serves as a thermogenic, boosting up heat production, reducing inflammation and balancing the metabolic process. It also contains allicin which has been linked to the reduction of unhealthy fats in the body.

Cruciferous vegetables include broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and brussels sprouts are all rather high in protein. The fiber in these are great for us and keep us feeling full. These are are also highly nutritious, and contain cancer fighting substances.

Tuna is another high in protein and low in calories food. Make sure to get the can that says “in water”.

Cottage Cheese is mostly just protein. So it can make us feel full with a relatively low amount of calories. And it’s high in calcium, which has been shown to aid in the fat burning process.

Fruits can be an effective (and delicious) addition to a weight loss diet. Especially grapefruit, apples and bananas.

Tomato is beneficial in removing the extra fat stored inside our stomach. Eating tomatoes will help get rid of fat from the stomach and basically will clean it. You can then gradually achieve a flat belly.

Obviously, I’m still trying to lose weight. I’ve been trying to eat mostly these 17+ foods for weight loss. Although, I don’t always stick to them.

Now that it’s all written up on this list, I’m going to try harder when I go to the store and get just this stuff. Plus some ground turkey and chicken.

If you have any tips for losing, let me know! I would be thrilled to have more things to eat or do. Leave me a comment if you’re going to eat this food and lose weight. We should do this together!

Good Luck To You!

I have eaten and do eat some of these foods, except those I have allergies or intolerances to. I regularly drink ginger tea, freshly made when possible with raw honey and lemon. But the chia seeds are frightfully expensive, so, it’s rare for me to buy them.
